All orders are processed within one to four business days from the time we receive them. Samples are shipped via USPS First Class Mail and can take seven to ten days to arrive. 15 ml bottles are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. 50 ml bottles are shipped FedEx Ground. We will send you a notification including a tracking number once your order has shipped.
Carta is based in San Francisco, California. We charge sales tax for any orders shipped within California. We don't as of yet offer international shipping.
Carta fragrances are handcrafted and bottled in small batches to order. We therefore can not take any returns. Given the idiosyncratic nature of individual body chemistry, we encourage you to try a sample first before commiting to a full bottle.
All orders are gift wrapped in tissue paper. If you are sending a Carta fragrance as a gift, please email us at email@example.com with your instructions and we will include a small card with your personal message.

TYPES OF INFORMATION COLLECTED
When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s IP address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. Neither your name nor anything about you is sold or shared with any other non-affiliated company or agency, except that we may share your information under certain circumstances with outside consultants or companies, but only for the purpose of enabling those consultants or companies to help this site function or assist us in our business. We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
Our email newsletter is used to communicate new product availability, store events, promotions and discounts. If a user requests to receive our email newsletters, they need to provide a valid e-mail address. Real names need not be used to request newsletters.
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. THIRD PARTY SERVICES & PAYMENT PROCESSORS
Our store is hosted on Squarespace, Inc. (Squarespace). They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Squarespace's data storage, databases and the general Squarespace application. They store your data on secure databases protected via a variety of industry-standard access controls. Secure passwords, SSL encryption, disk-based encryption, firewalls, and other measures are in place that helps them to protect your data. However, no company, including Squarespace, can fully eliminate security risks associated with the transmission of personal information through online transactions, and you do so at your own risk.
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
